Biography and Pictures of National Award Winning Bengali Actress Ananya Chatterjee

Ananya Chatterjee is a National Film Award winning Bengali actress. She won the Best Actress trophy for her performance in the movie ‘Abohoman’ directed by Rituparno Ghosh. The movie was also declared the Best Bengali Future Film at the same event. Ananya Chatterjee was born and brought up in Kolkata. She passed her graduation course from Jogmaya Devi Collage, Kolkata.

She started her acting career with the Television Serial ‘Din Pratidin’. Since then she acted in numerous Bengali Mega Serials.

Ananya Chatterjee also acted in numerous Telefilms.

She also acted in a number of Bengali movies. Most of them are directed by famous directors of Tollywood. She got fame when her movies ‘Angshumaner Chhobi’ and ‘Dwando’ released. Before starting her acting career she took training in dance from Mamata Shankar.

Recently she is seen as judge of Bengali Television Show ‘Dance Bangla Dance’ along with Swastika Mukherjee and Mithun Chakraborty.
