Payel Sarkar is one of the most successful Tollywood
actresses nowadays. She is one of the Indian Television actresses who became a
household name because of their Television serials.
Payel Sarkar is from Kolkata. Payel Sarkar had her college
education from Jadavpur university in Kolkata. There she earned Graduation
degree in History Honours. She was the cover page model in a popular Bengali
magazine ‘Unish-Kuri’.
While she was in college, she did few Telefilms. Then she
appeared in Bengali movies ‘Bibar’ and ‘Sudhu Tumi’. But she became famous
through the Bengali movie ‘I Love You’. In this romantic movie she played the
lead role of the heroine apposite to Bengali actor Dev. After that she got
offer for the role of ‘Shruti’ in Television serial ‘Love Story’.
Payel Sarkar appeared in a number of Bengali films and she
won the hearts of thousand of people in bengal. Some of her big hit movies are
– ‘Cross Connection’, ‘Prem Amar’, ‘Le Halua Le’, ‘Bojhe Na Se Bojhena’.
